HOW TO HARVEST & DRY YOUR HERBS 🌿 Tis’ the season! Whether you’re growing kitchen staples like thyme and oregano or branching out with healing herbs like calendula and nettles, proper drying makes all the difference for preserving flavor and potency through winter. ✨ Harvest tips: • Pick when plants are dry (not after rain or watering) • Snip in a way that encourages regrowth — never more than ⅓ of the plant • Once clipped, dry your herbs on low heat (around 105°F) in a dehydrator if you have one. • Once fully dry, garble them — aka remove stems and keep the good stuff. Store in an airtight container away from sunlight. No dehydrator? Try this: 🌬️ Hang in small bundles in a dry, ventilated area 🌿 Lay flat on a towel in a cool, dark space 🍽️ Use a mesh rack or paper towel-lined tray, flipping occasionally What herbs are you most excited about growing and storing this year! 👇🏼
