In the case of these latest pieces, a roll of kimono is carefully cut and crafted into panels. Post-production printing is done in the form of Bassen-zome (抜染), or discharge dyeing, by applying a glue containing chlorine via a silk screen process yielding a vintage aesthetic to the final product.
