Last night at @submercer, @sarahgharrelson, Monica Zwirner, and Lucy Wallace Eustice gathered Young Artists list alums, current honorees, and art-world mainstays to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Young Artists list and the second annual prize, which awards one rising artist a $30,000 unrestricted grant. Eyal was selected by a jury of leading curators—the Met’s @janepanetta, the Hammer’s @erinzulie, and MoMA’s @ttttlax—from among the 27 artists featured on this year’s list. “Ali Eyal shows us that art can mourn, repair, resist, and imagine,” Harrelson told the crowd. “For his vision, his courage, and his ability to transform his memory into shared experience, we are honored to recognize him tonight.” Link in bio to look inside the festivities.
