Manta and devil rays are in trouble, and time is running out. All 9 known species are now threatened with extinction. In some places, their populations have dropped by over 90%, driven by overfishing, meat and gill plate trade, and false claims of “sustainable” catch. This November, world leaders will meet at CITES CoP20 to decide their fate.
