Gyres are large systems of ocean currents that move in a circular pattern 🌊 There are 5 major gyre systems in the world, one being the Northern Atlantic Subtropical Gyre. This gyre is home to the Sargasso Sea - the only sea with no land boundaries! The Sea is bordered by the Gulf Stream to the west, the Canary Current to the east, the North Atlantic Current to the north, and the North Atlantic Equatorial Current to the south.
