The shot vs. The set up. When i’m shooting I usually will do a few poses I have in mind first to give whoever is in front of the camera a visual, I don’t use mood boards and prefer to find the moment organically. For me it’s all about finding the light and just the right body language that conveys a message. Usually it’s comfort, sensuality, nostalgia or an exaggerated proportion, it takes more time to work this way but we try different poses and actions until we both feel satisfied. It’s always funny when I see an image of mine recreated, I can just tell from its essence.
