Some tips for bringing your own product to life. I couldn't capture everything in the video, but here are some things we learned the hardway lol: P.S. Comment "flow" for early bird prices and to become a VIP for the Kickstarter for $1 1️⃣ Validate your idea before you spend time, energy and money on it You can do this by making an MVP or even just a simple landing page to check for interest. There's never been a better time to build an audience around your product with social media, so you can get a lot of traction and interest by sharing the process online! 2️⃣ Speak in the same "language" as your manufacturers and get clear on what THEY need to make your product. I don't mean their actual language, whatever your native language is works just fine. But you need to know how they handle the specifications needed to bring your product to life. For example, in packaging there's die cut templates, and in electronics and software there's state transitions. Always give them wayyyy too much information, and never let a manufacturer make UX decisions for you like we did at the start. 3️⃣ TEST EVERYTHING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. We waited this long (over 1.5 years) to launch the Kickstarter, because we wanted to make sure everything was right and that we were ready for manufacturing and confident in the product. This way you can build trust with your customers, and also make sure you deliver something great. Good luck.
