It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to watch your dad fade away. These past few months were tough, and the last few weeks were some of the hardest days of my life. But even as his body gave out, I never stopped seeing him as the strongest man I’ve ever known. He just wanted to be home, surrounded by family. And he was. We were there when he took his final breaths and I know that meant everything to him. Dad showed me what it means to show up, to fight, and to love without holding back. I’ll carry him with me for the rest of my life. And if I can live in a way that reflects even a piece of who he was, I’ll be doing something right. Rest easy, Dad. #szcztheday
