I knew when I made the decision to close my business after 24 years that my body and spirit had enough of the energetic toll I was putting on it. At the time, I don’t think I recognized just how clear and important my next assignment was going to be: to repair and restore. Since I’ve stopped running at the speed I existed in for two and a half decades, I have felt pretty great. And yet the more time I spend in this new pace, the deeper levels of fatigue and burnout have been presenting themselves to me. I’m realizing that I used to keep myself so busy that there was ultimately no room for these parts to speak. It was like my system had just normalized it and chalked it up to “what it takes to run a company.” So when the experience of visiting @shawellness_mexico presented itself, it was a resounding “YES”! The timing could not have been better, and I knew my whole being was in need of it. I am sincerely so taken by Sha’s approach to integral health and well-being, as well as their incredible team. From the doctors I saw, who all happened to be women (added bonus 😉), to the highly skilled practitioners and instructors, each one next level. A truly transformative method. I’m leaving with so many valuable takeaways…The care and attention I received during this experience were major gifts, ones that highlighted just how critical access to healthcare is and how much we need to prioritize equitable access universally. My hope is that this message serves as inspiration for anyone seeing it to find their way back to their bodies. To slow down however they can to listen and heal.
