This is one of @trevordayley go-to photo shoot tricks 👇 📍 One of the coolest hacks MagMod users love is flipping the color of the sky. And you can do it in about a minute. If you love this, SAVE and SHARE with a friend. Step 1: Underexpose the sky. If it’s blown out white, you’ve got nothing to work with. Darken it until you see some color, then hit your subject with flash so they don’t disappear into the shadows. Step 2: Head into your camera’s white balance. Drop the Kelvin temp to make the sky pop a bold blue. Problem is—now your subject looks like a Smurf. Step 3: Fix it with a full CTO gel on your flash. The warm orange from the gel cancels the cool blue, leaving your subject with natural, balanced tones. 👉 Want the reverse? Crank your Kelvin up to warm tones, then throw on a CTB gel. Suddenly, your sky glows orange while your subject stays perfectly lit with neutral light. Simple, fast, and super fun. Try it on your next shoot!
