The Sunday before Mothers Day is known as Bereaved Mothers Day. It's a day to celebrate all moms who have lost a child on the Sunday before Mothers Day. As a woman who has lost babies at all different stages of pregnancy they're all hard in their own way and even if you've been through it before it still feels like a punch to the gut when you hear those words. I've also seen my sister lose a child at 34 days old and it's probably the hardest thing I've seen someone endure. It's an unexpected part of our stories 🤍. However on the other side of things for us at least there has always been light. There's been a Sunday and a Lula. There's been a story told to another mom going through it. There's been a lot of nervousness mixed with hope at drs appts. There have been rainbows. So now that we're at the end of our baby having journey I probably need one in feed post honoring the 5 little babies we never knew on the outside. And there's no more perfect day to do it. I love the community aspect of social media especially with things like this. You've helped me more than you realize. And I wouldn't be nursing a little dark haired baby girl on a gold couch in the yard of my family home in Kentucky had I not gone through that 🥹. Life. Whew it's a trip but a beautiful one.
