Last month, the LifeStraw Vietnam team made a journey to a primary school for ethnic minority children in Lang Son province, over 15 miles from the nearest town, along narrow, winding roads. Thanks to the generous support of those who donated to our Typhoon Yagi relief efforts, we were able to support recovery efforts at this school by gifting the school students with new library filled with over 700 storybooks, complete with bookshelves, tables, and chairs. And as part of our volunteering initiative, every one of the 192 pupils received a small gift set — made possible by these contributions and from our amazing team. One of the most joyful moments was a handwashing session that turned into a whirlwind of laughter and curiosity — a small lesson that left a big impact. Though not captured it on camera, our team will never forget the heartfelt “thank you, LifeStraw” from students and teachers at the end. Their smiles made every step of the journey worth it.
