Grillo’s Pickles with sour cream & onion potato chips hits the spot for me. Cold Honey Crisp apples with super chunky peanut butter hits the spot for me. Waking up before my phone alarm frightens me makes me feel like I beat Battle Toads for Nintendo — a feat in itself. It was hot out today in Massachusetts — too hot for October. We went apple picking and my armpits felt like Satan’s undercarriage but the good company, apple cider donuts, and ice cold water were worth the trudge through the mosh pits of bumble bees! As I type this, I’m listening to a Tim Westwood mixtape from August 19th, 1994. Notorious BIG and Method Man are rapping right now. It doesn’t get much better than early 90s Hip-Hop with the dusty jazz samples, vivid story telling, and originality. I just heard a commercial for Lugz boots. While I mostly had boots from Payless Shoes as a kid, I owned a pair of chunky Lugz once and the combination with my bony legs made me look like a cartoonish lost boy. Goals this week are: get organized, move my body, develop film, watch The Celtics, reply to custom merch inquiries, reply to speaking inquires, prepare our third batch of Halloween T-shirts, watch something spooky, and move a few back-burner projects to the forefront. Trying to keep busy with an intent of not getting zonked out is like trying to get close to the sun without getting burnt — good thing I take my showers with scolding hot water :) Wish me luck this week!
