There is truth in the old expression - 'if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life'. There is always great satisfaction in knowing that our efforts have value. Certainly, seeing immediate tangible results is immensely satisfying. While doing good work is hopefully reward enough, modern work is often hard to evaluate.
