Introducing the 2025/26 Walton & Hersham Away Shirt. - This shirt’s story begins on April 14th, 1973. Walton and Hersham had just won the FA Amateur cup in front of 50 thousand at wembley stadium Inspired by the victory, a young fan spray paints “Walton and Hersham 69” on a nearby wall, where it sits for 6 years, until it’s noticed by Jimmy Pursey, a young musician from Hersham who is currently forming a punk band - and he needs a name for it By now, the graffiti has faded and been partially covered by other graffiti, and only the remaining piece says “SHAM 69”. Pursey adopts the name, and just like that, Sham 69 is born, and they would go on to become one of the most influential punk bands across the entire UK We brought this story into the away kit, combining elements of punk style and club history into one mashed up graphic, applying it across the entire shirt, completing the design with river motifs taken from the club crest, which are a reference to the River Thames that flows through the club’s hometown, Walton on Thames. - Available now, exclusively at the @waltonhershamfc team store.
