Our family is just devastated about the loss of Charlie Kirk today. Our girls listened to him daily and learned so much from his debates and conversations on college campuses. Mary even wrote him a letter when she was around 13, and he sent her a return letter which was like the most exciting thing ever.❤️ Ryan doesn’t get too upset often, but when he came home with a bunch of bags of concrete and a giant flagpole I wasn’t surprised. I’m proud of him for springing into action. We’ve got to honor the legacy of Charlie by being more bold and intentional with the time we have here on earth. As we saw today, long life is not promised. We can’t waste time chasing after frivolous things or wasting the opportunities God gives us. So tonight, we’re installing a flagpole, but hopefully tomorrow we’ll have some good dialogue about our faith or our country with anyone who is willing.
