A closer look at the Coupe Dinner Bowl, a modern take on one of Edith Heath’s archival shapes. The Coupe Line’s namesake is an industry term used to describe pieces that were shortened or rimless. The Coupe Soup/Salad Plate was such a piece. With low walls, the piece could be used as either a salad plate or shallow soup bowl. This piece was discontinued in 1957. Almost 70 years later, we’ve brought it back with a fresh new palette. The shape is so timeless, it’s remained practically unchanged. The Coupe Dinner Bowl is available in a limited selection of glazes as part of the Heath + @hermanmiller collection, as well as part of our permanent collection in a core set of glazes.
