A pair of fantastic gold horns. They originate from the 5th century, which predates the Viking Age by 300-400 years. The language spoken then was Proto-Norse, which developed into Old Norse (spoken by the Vikings), which in turn split into Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Icelandic and Faroese. The runic inscription in the horns is thus in Proto-Norse and it reads: "Ek Hlewagastiz Holtijaz horna tawidō" It translates into: "I Hlewegastiz Holtijaz made the horn" You can find them in the National Museum in Copenhagen.
