If you have been to a Georgia Bushcraft campout with your kids, they have probably attended a now, internationally known, Joe Flowers bug hunt. 📸 @joe_flowers_bushcraft_global • One of my favorite staple activities from @GeorgiaBushcraft made it across the pond —A good ol’ fashioned BUG HUNT 🐜🔬. I brought along the trusty microscope and some vials, and decided to improvise a kids’ bug hunt class in The Meadows. Honestly, we barely made it six feet before we were surrounded by an incredible variety of insects to explore. I obtained about 20 new species of my life list that I still haven’t completely fully identified 🕷️🦋🪲 What blew me away was how many folks here in the UK truly know their stuff when it comes to nature. I met some incredibly knowledgeable people like @timgentoutdoors who dabble in the entomology scene, and who were kind enough to share what they know — and I definitely walked away with some new facts and a deeper appreciation for UK biodiversity. 🌱💡 Big thank you to the kids and adults who came out, asked questions, and got curious.
