Origin story. @humberto is part of the fashion zeitgeist. The Creative Director for @katseyeworld has played a key role in some of culture’s most significant brands, from co-founding Opening Ceremony in the early ’00s to re-energizing Kenzo in the 2010s. But before all of that, he led Visual Merchandising at Gap in the 90s. His 10-year career at Gap Inc. started with working at a Gap store—a place he says he learned everything he applied to his later work, from retail to visuals and beyond. Now, Humberto is happy to see the loop come full circle. So much, that he took us to the very Gap store at the Santa Anita mall where he held his first job — back to the start.
