On Tuesday I fished my first @classic.bass event for the Pro/Am on lake Minnetonka and I was partnered with @gwen_halve . I first just want to say thank you to the staff for making this even so much fun for the anglers and doing all that work for us. Gwen and I had a great time on the water with a pretty good day of fishing as well, watch out for this one she’s going to be taking all of our lunch money soon! We had a good start to the morning with a 4 pound 9 ounce fish and were able to get 8 fish off the spot that had us in 1st place for a little bit. The rest of the day was just grinding trying to upgrade one fish at a time, we were able to stay at the top but we slowly dropped down to 8th place. In the final minutes before the blackout period we caught another big fish at 4 pounds 10 ounces putting us right back into 5th place but unfortunately could only make a few small culls in the last hour and ended finishing back into 8th place with 24 pounds 15 ounce’s. I would’ve loved to bring home a check on this one but I can’t be mad about a #yeti cooler and some good learning on the water. All in all I had a great experience being able to teach while doing what I love and it was a whole new ballgame being able to see that live tracker adding the extra pressure until the last hour when you can’t see it, then your mind really starts to race haha. Can’t wait till the next one!
