Flowers can adapt in higher temperatures and light levels by increasing their pigmentation which darkens their hue, it is thought these ultraviolet pigments increase to protect the flower’s delicate cells from sun damage, a bit like sun cream ☀️ UV pigments in flowers are more visible to bees.
