Korean born, Atlanta raised, New York made. Childhood friends, David Joonwoo Yun and Steven Jaewoo Choi, opened Kisa in the Lower East Side to bring us a taste of traditional Korean cuisine like the city has seldom seen before. Paying tribute to the diners found all over Korea during the 70s and 80s meant for taxi drivers to be able to pull over and have a quick and affordable meal by themselves, Kisa has only been open for a year but has already been co-signed by Koreans for evoking deep nostalgia but winning over the western foodie scene. We brought some pairs of the Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0” over to Kisa and kicked it with David and Steven as they shared what sharing their authentic Korean culture to NYC means to them and their family legacies. @kisarestaurant @davidjyun @stevejaechoi Video by @ohitstahmid Special thanks @corybng and @neon.seoul
