I love putting beautiful products onto my skin but I also love supporting my skin from within. This means being targeted in my nutrition choices to support healthy skin & overal vitality. This skin loving smoothie hits the mark in so many ways & is a great option for busy mornings or for women that struggle to eat breakfast. Recipe for 2: ~ @ediblebeautyau Complexion Protein+ Powder 2 tablespoons ~ @ediblebeautyau Native Collagen Booster 2 teaspoons ~ 1 banana ~ 1 cup of @colessupermarkets frozen summer fruit mix ~ 1 handful of washed baby spinach ~ 1/2 an avocado ~ 1 tablespoon of flaxseeds ~ 1 tablespoon of chia seeds ~ 1 cup of coconut yoghurt ~ 2-3 pitted dates depending on how sweet you like it ~ @pureharvest Coco Quench, enough to cover ~ sprinkle of cinnamon ~ optional 2 tablespoons of cacao powder Why it’s good for your skin: ~ includes a good amount of healthy fats ~ fibre rich for digestive health ~ contains ingredients that support healthy collagen formation, tissue building & repair and beautiful radiant skin ~ packs a punch in terms of nutrients & antioxidants ~ contains protein to keep you full & blood sugar balance I chose to make the smoothie plant based as I have seen clinically for some clients when we remove dairy products it has a beneficial impact on skin health. This isn’t the case for everyone so if you know that you tolerate dairy you can switch the coconut based products for dairy alternatives! Also it’s good to know that cow, sheep or goats milk products naturally have higher protein than their plant based counterparts.
