Made just for us in our fall seasonal colors, our Shadow Print Table Linens are a natural backdrop for high gloss Malachite and Sepia pots. We asked Sara Roberts, @goldiehomenyc Founder and the artist behind the print, about her inspiration and process for the original artwork. “A talented floral and event designer had commissioned me to hand paint 250 napkins for a summer event. He had given me a mood board of cyanotype imagery as well as other ideas and asked me to interpret his vision into napkins. After a lot of experimenting with various mediums, I decided to try painting with a diluted bleach mixture and I started to get the most beautiful imagery and lines. In the end, I decided to hand dye the napkins and then hand paint each with the diluted bleach mixture. After the laborious (yet super creative) process, I kind of fell in love with the print and realized the design would look so beautiful as a repeated pattern.
