We’re stoked to honor the late soul surfing legend, Mike Hynson, today on his birthday, when friends & family are paddling out in his honor at Windandsea in La Jolla. 🌅🌈❤️ ⁣ ⁣ Mike loved our granddad, Dr. Bronner, and was dedicated to the same All-One-Love mission in life.⁣ ⁣ Famous for his starring role in the surf classic, “Endless Summer,” Mike championed the psychedelic revolution in the ‘60s as a high-level member of the Brotherhood of Eternal Love.⁣ The Brotherhood helped produce the film, “Rainbow Bridge,” set in a commune in Maui, and flew our granddad out to lay down some wisdom in his prime.⁣ ⁣ The film features Mike shredding waves, and the entire second half is Jimi Hendrix shredding guitar on the side of a volcano in one of his last live performances (the Brotherhood also got Jimi to produce the incredible live Rainbow Bridge album).⁣ ⁣ A little-known fact is that Mike went on to found Endless Bubbles, and toured the world working with big bubble masters, and selling magic bubble wands to bring psychedelic rainbow bubble joy to people of all ages. ⁣ ⁣ We have our own family lineage of joy, struggle and foam — both in our grandfather’s soaps, as well our foamy homies now rocking our Magic Foam Experience, which blasts foam and joy on the world, inspired by our dad, Jim Bronner, who made magical spaces for kids with fake snow foam. It's all about creating and sharing joy & stoke in life. ⁣ ⁣ Dr. Bronner’s will also be honoring Mike at our All-One family gathering in July, making Endless Bubbles for kids 1 to 100 years old while rocking out to Jimi. ⁣ ⁣ We're honored that Mike’s son, Mike Hynson Jr., and fabulous ex-wife, Melinda Merryweather, have chosen to rock with us at Dr. Bronner's, too.⁣ ⁣ Mike's now shredding the endless cosmic wave with Jimi, Dr. Bronner, and all our glorious ancestors. 🙏❤️🌈🏄‍♂️🌅🫧
