Madison came to me with a special keepsake, her grandmother’s hat pin. She previously had it turned into a necklace but the chain had broken from the connection point twice. She asked if I could turn it into a ring and I was happy to help! I fabricated the ring band in 10k gold wire to match the pendant before setting it with a blue sapphire for a birthstone. Of course I was a little nervous with such a precious treasure but the soldering gods were looking after me and it came together really easily! After a good polish it was ready to go back home. She picked it up this week and was so happy with how it turned out, hugs were exchanged and even a tear 🥲 Jewelry can be so much more than a stylish accessory.
