Before playing my first game back, I was a little nervous to backflip again. What if I missed? What if I fell again and got made fun of more? Every thought went through my head. But I sucked it up, and decided to play, and when the ball was hit to me, I went for it. Why? Because I won’t let fear dictate my actions. My identity is in something greater than the approval of other people. I refuse to let fear control me. It’s just a backflip, it’s not that big of a deal. But if I let fear control me in these little things, it will also control me in the big things. Courage in the little things often translates to all walks of life. Never stop getting back up.
