🐺 Happy International Wolf Day! 🐺 From left to right, meet the wolves of Wolf Woods at the Cincinnati Zoo! 👑 Elena – The only female of the pack who taught the boys how to “wolf.” Calm, confident, and a master at digging shady chill spots. 🌟 Shadow – The active “alpha” who loves bison ribs, rolling in otter bedding, and showing off his very white eyebrows. 🔥 Waya – Smart, wild and small but mighty with a wide face and a love for sunshine naps, egg hunts, and the occasional sneaky bone heist. 😂 Bruce – The big, goofy red-coated brother with a droopy lip and a laid-back attitude All four came from the Endangered Wolf Center in St. Louis and help us share the importance of wolf conservation. SAFE Mexican Wolf, led by Cincinnati Zoo’s Kim Scott, is a bi-national recovery program that will help support and find new opportunities to work with the community in the recovery areas of both Mexico and the United States. The goal? To work hand-in-hand with local communities and other stakeholders in Mexico and the U.S. to give Mexican wolves a better chance at survival.
