Create It, Wear It, Exude it - JOY JACKET sessions were a HIT‼️💁🏽‍♀️🎨 . . ⭐️Honored to be a chosen facilitator for the @ibim_girls 5th annual Girls Enrichment Workshop- Design Your Destiny 🤩 This is a super dope mentoring program for girls!!!! . . . 🧥🖌️Since the theme was fashion, I thought JOY JACKETS would be dope. An intro, beginner friendly session to creating a statement jacket. . . 💕 I always like to add PURPOSE in what I do. Beyond ‘creating a jacket’, the sessions were great for mental wellness by being a creative outlet. It was also great for self expression and a self esteem builder. . . 💕 I wanted to see affirmations and how they could show their own personality. . 💕 From patches, to bling, to hand painted details, the girls had a time channeling their inner artist. 💁🏽‍♀️🎨 . . 💕 Many of them also learned what it meant to trust the process. They said ‘WOW THIS TAKES TIME’ lol. . . 💕 Due to their jam packed schedules, they were able to start them with me, then finish at home. I absolutely LOVE ALLLLLLLL of their creations. . . 💕We talked about art and affirmations, and the importance of self expression + loving and embracing who you are. . . . ⭐️ I am still FULL from connecting with over 100 girls 😍🥰 The talent, beauty, and brains and CONFIDENCE I experienced 😮‍💨🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 . . ⭐️ But the highlight was when girls from every group asked to leave out with their jackets on. Seeing a room full of girls with their jackets half wet and all they didn’t care 🤣 and I loved that for them 😂🙌🏾😍😍😍😍😍 . . . Thank you @ibim_girls x @dtlrofficial for the continued support.
