Crystal Moselle - Filmmaker @crystalmoselle Film director Crystal Moselle fearlessly explores subcultures. Sundance Film Festival awarded her the Grand Jury Prize award for her documentary, The Wolfpack, a heartbreaking and inspiring documentary about seven brothers who grew up isolated in New York City. Her follow up films Skate Kitchen and Betty, intimately portray the world of female skateboarding culture. Her current mission is “keeping films in theaters and keeping independent cinema alive in America.” New York City is more a character than location for Crystal. As she told us, “Every film I’ve ever made has a scene in New York. I love the wisdom and the community here. The city is your living room, you can walk everywhere and hang out.
