Do use your favourite crockery – whether in uniform white or a glorious mismatch.
 Use a thread of colour to tie everything together.

 Dot the table with flowers or anything you find beautiful. There is nothing quite so charming as jugs of flowers plucked from the garden at an outdoor table – whether abundant armfuls of heavenly cows’ parsley or little posies of wildflowers. Repetition & generosity are beautiful. Candles or fairy lights – even in daylight – add gentle magic and make the table glow as dusk descends. Add fragrance with bunches or pots of herbs. Do use proper napkins.
