An exciting update from our Founder! 🥳 Hello! Tamara Mayne here, Founder and Creative Director of Brooklyn Candle Studio. It has been a dream of mine for many years to open a shop where our customers can experience our candles and home fragrance products IRL. I was so excited and passionate about the shop that I insisted we design and build half of the furniture in the shop ourselves! These days, I work behind the scenes creating and smelling most of the time, so meeting many customers face-to-face while building the pop-up has been really wonderful and illuminating. While this shop was supposed to be a temporary holiday pop-up, we quickly realized that we needed a space for people to come and smell our products in person and experience our brand in a way that a screen cannot facilitate. Much to our surprise, most of you that stopped by had heard of or knew our products, but had not smelled them all and were excited to sample the full collection. Our lovely sales associates spoke with many of you about the memories or feelings the fragrances evoked, recommended products, and guided you through our offerings. We all agreed that everyone who stopped by the store was delightful, and we enjoyed interacting with all of our visitors. That being said, we are thrilled to announce that we have decided to keep our Industry City shop open for the foreseeable future as Brooklyn Candle Studio’s retail outpost. Industry City, a Sunset Park hub of amazing food, shopping, events, and more, has been our studio’s home for nearly 10 years, so we are more than proud to open our first retail shop here. While our online shop is open 24/7, we hope you will stop by our new store, whether you’re a local or visiting NYC, and experience all we have to offer IRL.
