On April 4, 2025, in Beaver County, PA, an Ohio trooper approached 30-year-old Deshawn Leeth after a crash near the state line. Leeth fled, then returned and fought the trooper, overpowering him and stealing his cruiser. After a multi-agency pursuit, Leeth crashed in North Sewickley. As he resisted arrest, an altercation occurred and officers fatally shot him. Leeth had a past of home invasion convictions and was recently leading a nonprofit for at-risk youth.
