The new era of Momotaro is here, and now in Double Black. Featuring a revamped fabrics, updated fits, and fully redesigned branding.⁠ ⁠ The star of Momotaro’s new era is their new Standard Series Denim. This 14.7oz Japanese selvedge denim is made from 100% Zimbabwe cotton and comes in their signature “Tokuno Blue” indigo and newly-launched Double Black color. Offered in a raw sanforized state, the denim is less starchy than its Vintage Label predecessor, allowing for a more comfortable fit from day one.⁠ ⁠ This new line of denim is updated with refined details like flush-set pocket rivets, indigo-dyed leather patch with new logos, and a fully-lined waistband to prevent dye transfer when tucking in shirts. Plus, Momotaro’s iconic pink/white selvedge ticker remains on the interior.⁠ ⁠ The jeans are presented in Momotaro’s four newly-streamlined silhouettes: Tapered, Straight, Slim, and Wide. The Tapered fit most-closely resembles Momotaro’s old High Tapered fit, now equipped with a higher rise. The Straight cut offers an even higher rise, with additional thigh room, and a clean straight-leg profile, making it the best option for anyone who previously wore Momotaro’s Natural Tapered fit. The new Slim fit resembles Momotaro’s old Tight Tapered cut, while the Wide fit offers the fullest leg of the bunch.⁠ ⁠ These new style jeans are joined by the release of Momotaro’s Classics Series, which revamps their original 15.7oz Japanese selvedge denim through a one-wash rinse and new detailing.
