Studio D'artisan presents the Kakishibu Super Slub Selvedge Denim. Arriving at Blue Owl this Friday as part of the brand's latest 45th Anniversary drop. Built using the brand's new 16oz super slub "Extreme Jeans" fabric, this Kakishibu denim is dyed using fermented persimmon tannins that have been maturing for more than three years to yield its unique orange-tan color. Japan’s history of Kakishibu dyeing spans over 900 years, and is said to have been first used by samurais and mountain priests of the Heian period. The jeans are equipped with an ensemble of custom details including a thick 45th Anniversary leather patch, powder-coated iron buttons, and a special persimmon leaf sashiko pattern selvedge ID. Cut in the brand's Regular Straight fit – the same silhouette used on our Sumi G3 collaboration. Joined by SDA's equally impressive "Ai-Sa" Cherry Blossom Denim and the Foxfibre Earth Denim, all in extremely limited quantities. Inventory goes live this Friday, March 14 at 10am PT. #StudioDartisan
