Thank YOU, @birdlambert_ . 🙏🏽🩵 Repost from @birdlambert_ • When we were living in a small town in Louisiana, my wife told me she’d never feel comfortable hanging a pride flag there. I knew right then we were going to move—I just didn’t know where. The South hasn’t always felt comfortable for people like us. But it is home to so many of us. It’s the only place that truly feels like home to me. So, I started creating spaces that felt cozy—pockets of community, rooms with too many seats and more to pull up. Everyone welcome. I guess that’s where my love of design began: making space for my family in this world and making those spaces more beautiful in the process. I’ve followed @bittersoutherner for years. Their editorial gives me hope—a consistently honest and beautiful reflection of our region. This flag was the best Mother’s Day gift ever, accompanied by a “Read Banned Books” shirt, of course. Thank you for making this flag, and thank you for working toward a Better South.
