To celebrate, we're showing off some of our incredible quirky cats. 😸⁣ ⁣ 😸 Lady Van Gogh came to Battersea Old Windsor through no fault of her own, after a change in her owners’ circumstances. She quickly demonstrated that she was a friendly cat, with the staff at Battersea falling in love with her charm instantly. ⁣ ⁣ After a thorough medical check from the skilled veterinary team, they recognised that poor Lady Van Gogh had ongoing medical issues with her ears, so she required surgery to remove her left ear. ⁣ ⁣ Lady Van Gogh recovered well from her surgery with the help of the dedicated staff at Battersea and her loving personality has shone through. She adores being around people, seeking attention and a fuss. ⁣ ⁣ 🐱 April the kitten arrived at Battersea during her namesake month. She was found as a stray and taken to a local vet, before being brought to Battersea. ⁣ ⁣ After a thorough medical examination and x-rays from the skilled veterinary team at Battersea, the team recognised that poor April had an existing leg injury that had not healed correctly. The best course of action would be to amputate her left front leg. ⁣ ⁣ Although she may be small, sweet April demonstrated to the world how mighty she is. She recovered from her surgery and adapted well to life on three legs with the support of the dedicated team in the Cattery. ⁣ ⁣ It wasn’t long before April found a loving home where she is flourishing. ⁣ ⁣ Do you have your own quirky cat? let us know!
