Notes from the island. Part 03, Torbjörn. ‘I’ve always loved animals – being with them, working with them – ever since I was a child. My mum has an incredible gift for seeing animals, and I think I’ve inherited some of that. It’s about the little things, the tiny signs you learn to notice – I can often tell early on if one of them isn’t feeling well; maybe she doesn’t look quite the same as yesterday, or she stays lying down a bit longer in the morning when I come by. They’re all individuals. All different. I know each of them, and in their way, they know me too. I’ve learned the way they move, and they know mine.
