Field Notes | Mag Bay Product Testing 

We joined @bdoali on his two-week run, jumping onboard for a few November days on the front side of a beautiful supermoon. @snapbackjr rolled cameras showcasing @davedowning and @jeremiewraight on what began as a content and R&D mission and quickly turned into a bucket list trip. 
Wide-open wahoo. Incredible striped marlin fishing—the kind I’ve heard about in countless stories from friends and mentors. And a few surreal hours spent in the water swimming with schools of fish, soaking it all in.
 I spent much of the trip in our air-o-mesh woven shirt, now a staple for me. I had the chance to put AFTCO’s new Expedition Bags through multiple applications, continuing to expand my understanding of just how versatile they are for travel, daily use, and time on the boat. We confirmed that the prototype wrist construction on our blue fever glove series delivered the improvements we’ve wanted. Finally, with AFTCO’s newest sportswear lead Scott alongside, we selected a new ultra-quick-drying, comfort-first fabric for 2027. We broke some first-generation protos, identified areas to improve, and learned a lot from the boys on Killer Bee. Plenty of laughs, plenty of fish, and a reminder of why I’m so lucky to work in the fishing industry and experience even a small slice of the Man Upstairs incredible oceans. #aftco #anyfishanywater #familyownedandoperated
