🌊 Meet the sea pig, one of the deep ocean’s strangest and most fascinating creatures. These plump pink sea cucumbers live thousands of meters below the surface, walking across the seafloor on their stilt-like tube feet. They feed on organic matter that settles from above, playing an important role in keeping the ocean floor clean. Some have even been spotted protecting baby crabs, showing an unexpected gentle side. Sea pigs breathe through their anus and have toxins in their skin to keep predators away.
