This is how I dropped 40lbs naturally in six months 👇🏻 As a mom of six, I know what it feels like to not feel like yourself in an ever changing body while birthing babies. And while being a mom is amazing, many of us silently struggle. We can feel overwhelmed, burnt out, and many times resentful because we end up putting everyone first. But, it doesn’t have to be this way. Here’s what I started doing in June of 2024: + Eliminate specific foods, specifically gluten (modernized wheat) that was silently killing my thyroid and gut and causing lots of brain fog and metabolism (motivation) issues. I know only used fresh milled Einkorn (the original ancient grain) because it’s gluten content is completely different from modern inflammatory wheat. + Learned how to say “no”. You DO NOT always have to be there for everyone. As a recovering people pleaser, it took me a long time to be okay with saying no, but MY GOODNESS, did it change my life. + Regulating your nervous system so you don’t spike cortisol will change your life. Stop picking up your phone right when you wake up. Wait at least 30 mins. Putting your bare feet on the ground to reconnect to the earth and pull energy from it. Get off screens two hours before bed and sleep AT LEAST 8 hours (preferably 9 for women). I know that can be hard but sleep is essential. + Try to get 100g of protein a day in 30g increments at each meal and some snacks in-between. This will build muscle and burn fat faster. Muscle = youth. Movement = youth. Getting 10k steps a day is awesome! + Red light therapy daily on your neck for two 10-minute sessions a day has been shown to improve thyroid function by lowering antibodies and even has helped women lower, if not get off their prescriptions. It helps balance hormonal function, which can be a main issue of weight loss for many women. It was one of mine. Doing all these things changed my life!
