I never thought I’d start a bra company. Honestly, I barely knew how to sew. Back in 2019, this all started as a side project. I just wanted to help the women I love—friends, family—get dressed without struggling. It seemed like such a small thing, but the more I talked to women, the more I realized it wasn’t small at all. So many had just quietly given up on bras altogether. Not because they didn’t care, but because no one was designing for them. Not for women with disabilities. Not for those with chronic pain. Not for anyone dealing with limited mobility who still wanted to feel confident and supported. And once I saw it, I couldn’t unsee it. I didn’t come from fashion. I had no roadmap. But I couldn’t stop thinking about how unfair it was—and how fixable it should be. So I did what most stubborn, slightly unqualified twenty-somethings do: I decided to figure it out. I started sketching and sewing (badly) on my bedroom floor. I spent years messing up and starting over—sewing by hand, teaching myself everything from scratch, and Googling more than I care to admit. That’s how Liberare was born. Our bras have a magnetic front closure that glides together and locks in place. No twisting, no fiddling with tiny hooks. Just a bra that works—for women who’ve been told to “just deal with it” for way too long. Liberare is for women who’ve been told to settle for less. It’s for those who’ve been overlooked by traditional brands. It’s for anyone who wants to start their day with a little more confidence and a little less struggle.
