On a whim, I purchased the Fjällräven Abisko Hike 35, which would become my primary pack for the trip. In the week that followed, I quickly fell in love with not only the backpack but also the Fjällräven brand. The durability of the G-1000 construction was unmatched. Although the years have taken their toll on my Abisko, with a bit of love and care, it remains my favorite backpack. Now adorned with new stitching, tree sap, dust from hundreds of trails, and some patches, it carries more than just my gear; it holds the memories of miles traversed over years of use—sunrises, sunsets, and everything in between.
