US based brands, heads up: @goldrushstardust is an amazing resource for premium textiles predominantly from Japan and the US. The LA based studio was founded by James Kimura-Green and we regularly visit him for inspiration as James straddles the line between deeply authentic, crafted fabrics and innovative, fashion led creativity as you’ll see above. We particularly love the fused and bonded qualities that achieve that over-distressed look championed by upcyclers like Paradoxe Paris and NTMB but these fabrics are sold on the roll. Some of his past and current clients include Olderbrother, B-Sides, Stussy, Kato Brand, Levi’s Made & Crafted, Buck Mason, Imogene & Willie, Citizen’s of Humanity, Gitman, United Arrows and Baycrews Journal Standard. James’ work goes beyond the normal supply and demand role, working with both brands and mills to create some really unique creative fabrics.
