@atelierdetails is taking the concept of high quality raw denim and slow made goods into streetwear. Reminiscent of the golden era in the late 90’s/ early 00’s when brands such as FUBU, Karl Kani, Evisu and Southpole tapped rigid jeans, the label celebrates deep raw indigo teamed with bright white top stitching to accentuate the well considered craftsmanship. The name Atelier Détails reflects a playful yet meticulous attention to signiture design features, including double buttons on the waistband, a double back pocket and printed reinforced knees on the inside, begging for inside out styling. The brand is founded by Books, a 25 year old originally from Peru but now based in Montreal who studied fashion design for three years before dropping out in his last semester to pursue his passion for denim, inspired by his mom who is a denim lover 🥰 He says: “I wanted to create something different: ‘’The best jeans in the world.’’ After a year of research & development, I sourced the finest raw denim, mastered vintage sewing techniques, made all my own patterns and committed to quality over quantity” We asked him about his passion for raw denim and driving force behind the brand: “Raw denim captivated me because it’s like a canvas of time, evolving with every crease and fade to tell the unique story of its wearer. As a poet, I’m drawn to this aspect, and as a designer aware of the environment, I appreciate that raw denim skips the chemical heavy processes of pre-washing or fading. I also work with heavier 14.5 oz+ denim for a sturdier, more distinctive look” And his inspiration that drives Atelier Détails: “My work is inspired by poetry, cinema, and human emotion, which I translate into both my designs and branding. For instance, the insides of my jeans feature hidden messages, cleanly finished details that feel like a secret for the wearer, creating a deeper connection to the piece. Blending vintage craftsmanship with modern, edgy design is my way of showcasing my persona and standing out. My mission is to represent Montreal internationally, and Atelier Détails is my vision for achieving that in the fashion world.” The brand is gaining major traction rn 👀
