@michele.lemper is a Cologne based graduate who’s just finished her masters at @textil_bekleidungstechnik_hsnr and has been engrossed in the word of textile design and yarn manipulation. For her graduate collection she applied this approach to waste denim, working with a laser cutter, she hand-linked or crocheted denim instead of traditional stitching and the results are amazing. She says: “I wanted to create a collection that is inspired and designed for recycling and pushing laser cutting to its limits. Challenging the machine and pushing what’s possible within its boundaries opened up new possibilities that weren’t originally intended for its use. Sometimes, it’s the limits that create unexpected freedom” Her work was just shown at Berlin fashion week as part of the @neofashion.de presentation and will also be exhibited at Krefelder Laufmasche, Krefeld, 18th–21st September 2025.
