This is ‘Romantic Resistance’ one of our four FW26/27 future forecast themes that we will be presenting on Thursday at @here_after_events in LA and later this month in Milan at @denimbypv It’s also live on our site for purchase! Fashion is entering a new era of craft — one grounded not just in quality, but in collaboration, community, and cultural storytelling. The most compelling brands today aren’t chasing cultural relevance; they’re actively shaping it. For a new generation, identity extends far beyond the product — it’s about how a brand shows up ethically, experientially, emotionally; beyond the transaction. Designers like Willy Chavarria embody this ethos; his last show was a tribute to love, labor, and the emotional power of fashion built together, standing for something greater than the garments alone. In a polarized world, creativity and collective spirit are becoming quiet acts of resistance — and craft, in this context, is a human language of expression: elevated, playful, and joyfully experimental. This shift is playing out across the industry: Diesel collaborating with over 3,000 underground creatives for immersive set design, the Paris-based Pablo T-Shirt Factory fusing production and creative community, or Miu Miu handing out disposable cameras to invite personal storytelling. Experiences are no longer activations — they’re extensions of a brand’s world. An alternative to minimalism, digital sameness, and trend fatigue, fashion is rediscovering its sense of spectacle — a space where story, artistry, and identity collide. The best brands today aren’t just selling clothes — they’re inviting us into something cinematic, collective, and worth escaping into.

You all remember @anthonyiacones’s graduate collection from @ifmparis that we and many others posted about last year? Not a huge majority of students jump into production after their graduate show but so many of us resonated with his twist on Americana collection (named RODEO) that he is selling the capsule in drops, starting on May 6th. He’s proving to be a true visionary, determined to pull his concept all the way through to end product and production as well as nail incredible editorial-level shots (by @margot_berard) so we expect to see a whole lot more of this dude in the near future. Swipe for some BTS shots 👉

We have some amazing voices taking part in next week’s Here|After event as you can see above! Our fireside conversation with @elisagoodkind covers big, juicy topics such as inclusivity, personal style, body autonomy and radical self acceptance. We will then segway into our panel: Fit Fatigue: Brands vs. the Infinite Scroll of Silhouettes to unpack what the chaos of algorithmic micro-cores, aesthetic fragmentation, and hyper-individuality means for denim design today. Panelists include @paigeageller of @paige, @benjamintalleysmith of @talleycreative and @cemozans of @calikdenim moderated by @geraldortiz of @gq Shannon and I will also be unpacking the seismic industry shifts that’s are set to dictate the future of denim as well as our much loved 18 month future forecast, which is going to play into all these themes and round out the evening. We’re so grateful to these amazing individuals who have agreed to share the stage with us next week. Link in bio or in stories to register, or head over to @here_after_events

This is ‘Touch Grass’ one of our four FW26/27 future forecast themes we’ll be presenting next week at @here_after_events in LA and at @denimbypv in Milan. Now live on our site for purchase and download! Here’s a peak at what ‘Touch Grass’ is all about: Touch Grass offers a safe space in an age of digital exhaustion. Echoing the 2010s anti-trend wave — normcore, gorpcore, heritage — today’s resurgence is shaped by a new context: climate urgency, tech-driven material innovation, and Gen Z’s playful, fluid approach to what “core” even means. This ultra-practical story embraces nature as both method and mindset. From time-tested eco-materials to rural lifestyle shifts — skiing, hiking, off-grid escapes — it’s about thoughtful, less-is-more choices that minimize impact while tapping into nature’s power. As life becomes more synthetic, we crave a return to natural, raw materials. Brands, designers, and supply chains are navigating the tension between progress and preservation, drawing on pre-modern aesthetics to reduce harm without stalling innovation. Fred Perry x Craig Green’s grass-dyed shirts and recycled pigment dyes are examples of how nature and tech can work together. Meanwhile, constant connectivity is breeding loneliness, making the ability to disconnect a new kind of status symbol. As social media amplifies hyper-curated identities and endless digital noise, a growing movement is rejecting the ‘chronically online’ lifestyle in favor of real-world connection. Apps like Touch Grass, which requires users to physically touch grass before logging in, capture this shift. True social currency now lies in analog hobbies, spontaneous hangouts, w/o an ig story post. Style reflects this too. Gorpcore’s utilitarian aesthetic has cemented itself not as a fashion flex but as a reflection of lived experience. As personal style becomes shaped by real interests rather than algorithms, dressing becomes something rawer, more practical, and deeply human. Brands tapping this aesthetic and ethos are @levis x @satisfyrunning @reesecooper @18eastofficial @mciveriv @aimeleondore x @thenorthface @6397_news @ambush_official @adaywithoutangst and more.

Fit Fatigue: Brands vs
Fit Fatigue: Brands vs. the Infinite Scroll of Silhouettes, is the topic of our panel discussion next week at @here_after_events in Los Angeles in partnership with @calikdenim Two decades ago, fit trends were clear-cut—skinny jeans reigned supreme, defining silhouettes across the globe. Fast forward to today, and we’re deep in the chaos of algorithmic micro-cores, aesthetic fragmentation, and hyper-individuality. As we have reported over the last few seasons, the skinny is coming back for gen z and alpha as a retro and ironic tool of expression. Meanwhile, everywhere you look, stats tell us that the skinny is officially downtrending as wider fits become the dominant silhouette. The fit conversation isn’t just louder—it’s faster, messier, and impossible to pin down. From skinnies to baggies to barrel legs—what does denim design look like in an era with no single shape to follow and how brands navigate a market where every silhouette is trending at once?  In this panel we explore the tension between brand control vs. consumer-driven chaos. Panelists include @paigeageller of @paige @benjamintalleysmith of @talleycreative and @cemozans of @calikdenim moderated by @geraldortiz of @gq

This is ‘Come As You Are’ one of our four FW26/27 future forecast themes that we will be presenting next week at @here_after_events in LA and @denimbypv in Milan, which is now live on our site for purchase and download! Here’s a peak at what Come As You Are is all about: Come As You Are revolves around casualwear basics — but it’s anything but mainstream. It’s the culmination of the continued vintage explosion, anti-austerity sentiment, recession dread, and a rejection of influencer-era perfection. It celebrates the undone, the destroyed, the underground, and the hyper-niche — a throwback to life before the feed, when music scenes built subcultures and nobody cared how they were perceived. As feeds flood with micro trends and clickbait edits, a quiet rebellion brews: the coolest people you know are dressing aggressively basic. But paradoxically, as this stripped-down style trend spreads, it becomes its own signal — less about personal taste, more about cultural capital. It's not the clothes making the person cool — it's their attitude and energy that make the clothes matter. The chaotic clash of eras and references lives on, united by a shared spirit: New Romantic, Grunge, Punk, Indie Sleaze, Goth, and Metal — all youth-driven, all anti-establishment. This is echoed in the Hedi boy resurgence, channeling Hedi Slimane’s early Saint Laurent with a lean, androgynous aesthetic. Drawing from rock ‘n’ roll rebellion, it’s all about minimalist, basic silhouettes and a revival of the ‘cool youth’ archetype of 90’s music scenes With the secondhand market growing five times faster than broader retail, micro-movements and niche fixations are exploding. Vintage now trades like collectibles, with cultural moments — not tradition — driving value: Kurt Cobain’s wrecked jeans just sold for $412,750, and Timothée Chalamet dropped $25,000 on Bob Dylan’s 1987 jacket. Some of the brands, designer and creatives that inspire this story and embody its ethos are @enfantsrichesdeprimes @____grossi____ @allinstudio @oldirtyyy @424inc @s3xandjeans @ktwo.studios @rangercartel @nofaithstudios @dilarafindikoglu @glam_archive and more

Based in Barcelona and founded in 2016 by Domingo Rodríguez Lázaro, @dominnico is a genderless ready-to-wear brand rooted in slow fashion values—meticulous pattern-making, fabric innovation, sustainable processes, and a futuristic vision grounded in freedom and inclusion. In 2019 he designed an exclusive collection for Rosalía’s EMQ Tour and in 2022, DOMINNICO won Vogue Spain’s WHO’S ON NEXT award, joining the magazine’s new generation of fashion voices. For the brands FW25 collection entitled “Lucky” the designer revisits Western aesthetics meshed with the nightlife of Las Vegas rendering a roadside motel universe that creates an atmosphere of the high-low aesthetics found in the city. While using deadstock materials, recycled furs and cutting room floor scraps the collection features heavily adorned surfaces and playful takes on western meets club wear looks.

We’re so excited to share that @elisagoodkind of @stylelikeu will be gracing our Here|After event on May 8th with her expertise in a conversation about radical authenticity and why personal style matters now more than ever. Elisa Goodkind is the co-founder of StyleLikeU, the self-acceptance platform and movement she created with her daughter, Lily Mandelbaum. A former fashion stylist with over 20 years of experience working with Glamour, Vanity Fair, Self, The New York Times and InStyle, to name a few, Elisa left the traditional fashion industry to help redefine style as an expression of the soul. Through StyleLikeU’s viral video series like What’s Underneath and Closets, (if you don’t know, set aside a weekend cos it’s gonna CONSUME you) she has helped bring visibility to radically honest stories that challenge conventional beauty standards.  In today’s chaos of algorithmic micro-cores, aesthetic fragmentation, and hyper-individuality what does denim design look like? Berlin-based label @makhmadim_ has been quietly refining their take on denim, combining traditional tailoring with digital tools
Berlin-based label @makhmadim_ has been quietly refining their take on denim, combining traditional tailoring with digital tools. Their latest collection “entree” features what they call Laser Fade Pixel Denim, cut from Japanese selvedge and detailed with their signature laser-fade technique. Another experimental and modern take on denim wear patterns is the ‘staple fade’ jean, reimagining fades with staple like embellishments. The laser artwork itself is a collage of real wear patterns, sourced from @swissjeansfreak and reimagined in a 3D program.

Described as hedonistic workwear, @ouest.world was founded in Paris in 2022 by @arthurobert. The brand taps classic workwear detailing, raw denim with a twist. Heavily inspired by the designers obsession with denim, pop culture, Americana, surf and skate aesthetics mixed with nods to iconic era’s and their subcultures like the club scene of the 70’s and 90’s.

We’re back with another Here|After event! And this time it’s personal. Well, it’s not just personal, it’s actually about hyper individuality. Our FW future foresights event this May 8th hones in on themes of self acceptance, the death of the micro trend (thank GOD!) and Gen Z’s exploration of personal identity and style. Sponsored by our friends from Turkey, @calikdenim we have a fireside 1:1 with a legendary woman who we can’t wait to announce, followed by a super exciting panel where we unpack the loaded subject of denim fits in the age of individualism. One of the most common conversations we have with our clients revolves around what denim design looks like when every fit is trending at once? We’ll finish with the debut of our FW26 forecast, of course. You can’t miss this one! May 8th, Neuehouse Hollywood, RSVP links on the @here_after_events page 👀

Retro has resurfaced as a key reference point in today’s trend landscape, not just for its aesthetics, but for what it represents: authenticity, individuality, and a slower, more intentional approach to dressing. In our era of fast-paced fashion, the enduring appeal of the ‘70s lies in its ease, soul, and craftsmanship, which videographer @czwyse captured in our fashion film, shot for leading denim mill, @crescentbahuman in LA earlier this month. CBL’s new range of indigos explores mid-shade blues in retro red or green casts, folding in sustainability and comfort to modernize for today’s market. The collection debuts at Kingpins Amsterdam tomorrow! Models @tiana.smith222 & @evelharding Hair & Makeup @meg_tronic Big thanks to @americanragcie for lending us some incredible vintage pieces from their archive, which brought an added layer of authenticity to the shoot.

We’ve recently aligned with our friends @crescentbahuman, a leading denim mill from Pakistan, to celebrate their new line of retro indigos. Titled “Old Americana” and tapping the amazing work of LA based photographer @team_ream the shoot pays homage to denim icons of the ‘60s and ‘70s—decades that defined denim with a sense of ease, attitude, and longevity. CBL’s updated shade range explores rich and saturated mid-tones and deep, green-cast blues with a subtle sheen. Rooted in sustainable processes, these materials honor denim’s legacy while forging ahead, creating fabrics that balance nostalgia with now. The collection debuts at Kingpins Amsterdam in two days. Models: @tiana.smith222 & @evelharding Hair & Makeup: @meg_tronic Big thanks to American Rag for lending us some incredible vintage pieces from their archive, which brought an added layer of authenticity to the shoot.
